Jan Wegmann

YNFB is an improvisation group founded in 2019 with the aim of exploring and experiencing the possibilities of improvisation. Their focus is on the combination of acoustic and novel electronic instruments.

YNFB currently consists of VictorPiano (vocals/electronics), Yat-Fung Wong (guitar/electronics), Jan Wegmann (clarinet/electronics) and Alex von Wegen (keyboards/synth). The young musicians came together during their studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg due to similar interests and ideas. Inspired by the diverse and exciting city of Hamburg and its different cultural backgrounds, they began experimenting with improvisation to create thrilling sound experiences.
